Surprisingly, someone thought it was a good idea to place our heating vents right inside our French doors. The big box store wooden vents we had got destroyed by foot traffic. I wanted an attractive alternative to wood that could withstand getting stepped on. The durable Madelyn Carter steel vent covers solved the problem and easily withstand getting stepped on.

These are very good quality registers and fit what I needed.

These vent covers are beautiful and sturdy. They're a great home decor improvement without spending a ton of money. They are a dramatic improvement over the flimsy aluminum ones we had. The Madelyn Carter Artisan Antique Brass Floor Vent Covers have a great finish that blends with other hardware in the room. They're not too copper/pink, not too bright silver, and not too brassy. The color is subtle and blends with our white oak floors and our bathroom tile floors alike. The flanges on the underside are long enough for the vent covers to fit snugly in place without shifting if the vacuum hits them. The beveled edges ensure continuity with the floor surface. The sales person at Vent Covers Unlimited was very helpful. The attached photos show the same antique brass finish in different rooms and different light.

Order came in scratched and colors differed too much between the same vent. Other orders were out of stock, it was hard to find a replacement. Otherwise, customer service was responsive and nice.
