I was unable to find a replacement for my damaged baseboard register in the dining room, at any of the stores locally. This house was built in 1925 and vent covers have changed. Your register is an exact fit and looks good in my dining room. When I tried to take a wire brush to the old one, in preparation for rustoleum, it started to flake apart. I was going to have to do some work on reducing the size of the opening until I found your company on the net.

So much nicer than metal! Well made. I got the unfinished to paint to match my room trim.

Vent covers had no issues. Fit perfectly in openings. One was custom sized and the process for the custom approval went seamless.

My original vent cover was broken and much thinner than commercially available covers. The specialty cover from VCU fits perfectly and was shipped quickly.

I think my cost was considerably more than what you show above....

Bought 2 vents. Nice weight to them. They look and feel great. Exactly what I wanted. BUT I got the screws to go with them, wanting them to match and be the right size. Unfortunately, there weren’t enough of either set— and I’m not thrilled with the fit— they are countersunk with an oval head, but the countersink was not cut deep enough, so there is a “lot” of fastener sitting above the face of the vent.

These vent covers are beautiful and sturdy. They're a great home decor improvement without spending a ton of money. They are a dramatic improvement over the flimsy aluminum ones we had. The Madelyn Carter Artisan Antique Brass Floor Vent Covers have a great finish that blends with other hardware in the room. They're not too copper/pink, not too bright silver, and not too brassy. The color is subtle and blends with our white oak floors and our bathroom tile floors alike. The flanges on the underside are long enough for the vent covers to fit snugly in place without shifting if the vacuum hits them. The beveled edges ensure continuity with the floor surface. The sales person at Vent Covers Unlimited was very helpful. The attached photos show the same antique brass finish in different rooms and different light.

Everything in our older home is non-standard. We have a bedroom ceiling vent that is odd sized and needs to be accessible for filter changes. Viola - the magnetic cover is a magical solution. And the vent size was no problem since these covers are custom to order.

I got 9 flush mount wood vents in Brazilian Cherry, they went in fantastically with the new floor. One minor note, I had 3 with the dampers installed, and I had measured my vents correctly but the fit is extremely snug / you have to be perfect in locating it. I ended up cutting through the subfloor to expand the vent size slightly to install the ones with dampers. Maybe it's just a me a problem, but it seems like if the damper was, for example, 3.5x9.5 for a 4x10 vent, the install would have been much easier, especially if retro-actively adding these to an existing floor. I will be doing that later this year and I expect to be placing another order here when that time comes!
