When the vent cover arrived, the slats were all out of their slots, so I had to put them back in. It was a little hard to get the slats to open and close. It seems to be working OK now, but time will tell. Also, I've never had a wall vent cover with clips instead of screws, so will just keep my fingers crossed it stays in. The outer area isn't quite as big as my old cover, so it doesn't cover quite as well as I'd hoped. But I couldn't find any darker colors in stores, so this was the best I could do for a room where a white cover would have looked bad.

I purchased these high need vents because they had nice design but mainly because I wanted them to hold up and last. Within two years my pretty matte black vents are rusting. I have two dehumidifiers running in my house so it’s not because of humidity. Disappointed.

The vent cover looks great in my space. Using it on a wall. The "pins" that hold the louvers in place were a fraction too long so I couldn't insert the cover onto the opening. We ground them down and the problem was solved.
